Viola Buechler, 97, of Hague, ND, died October 4, 2025, in the Linton Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague with Fr. Shannon Lucht officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:00pm with a rosary/vigil service at 7:00pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Viola was born January 2, 1928, in Hague, ND to Raymond and Magdalena (Miller) Schall. She was raised and educated in Hauge and graduated from Hague High School in 1945. She taught country school prior to her marriage. She married Adam Buechler in Hague on July 20, 1948. Together they lived in Minneapolis where she sold insurance for various companies. Viola and Adam retired in 1988 and returned to Hague.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Alter Society and the Hague Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing puzzles and watching tv, especially all the Minnesota sports teams. Viola was also very grateful for her niece Jackie for taking care of her for the past few years.
Viola is survived by her sister, Bernadette & Earl Eberle, Prescott, AZ; brother-in-law, Jerry Baumgartner, Alexandria, MN; sister-in-law, Charlotte Buechler, Hague; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam in 2017; her parents, Raymond and Magdalena Schall; brother, Francis (Mildred) Schall; and sister Patricia Baumgartner.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
