Viola Mary (Miller) Eberle, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2 at Saint Vincent's Care Center in Bismarck, ND.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, ND with her son, Fr. Paul Eberle and Fr. Shannon Lucht officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at the church in Hague with a rosary/vigil at 7pm.

Viola was born September 3, 1937 in Hague, ND to Emmanuel and Theresa (Heilman) Miller. After high school, Viola attended Ellendale Normal College and earned a teaching certificate. She taught at country school for three years. Viola married Joseph M. Eberle on June 18, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hague, ND.  They began their life together in Hague and after three years their dream of owning a farm came to fruition. Viola and Joseph farmed 2 miles north of Hague until they move back to town in 1986 and settled into retirement.

Viola enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing cards, gardening, cooking and baking. Her bread and buns were especially enjoyed by her children and grandchildren!  Viola's faith in God was first and foremost in her life. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and loved to shower them with many hugs and kisses. Her sweet demeanor remained with her to the very end.  She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Hague and the altar society.

Viola is survived by her children: Janet (Gary) Gerhardt, Tom (Andrea) Eberle, Don (fiance' Trish) Eberle, Patty (Mark) Becker, Mary (Tony) Vetter, Will Eberle, Bev (Eric) Johnson, Michele (Ron) Schatz, John Eberle, Deb (Steve) Salwei, Mike (Amy) Eberle, Peter Eberle, Fr. Paul Eberle, Matthew (Jen) Eberle; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters: Katie Fischer and Carol Wald;  and friends of all kind.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Emmanuel and Theresa (Heilman) Miller; her husband, Joseph M Eberle;  sons: Luke (stillborn) and Steve Eberle;  grandson, Alex Eberle; granddaughter, Jessica Merck; brothers: Bert, Joe, Frank, Julius and Felix; sisters: Martha Heier, Maggie Kvorak, Rosina Miller and Mary Brandner.
