Viola E. Wohl Kelsch 98, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Linton, ND passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2023 at Southdale Hospital, Edina, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will at 10:00am, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Father Mark Aune officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery following the mass.

Viola was born May 30, 1925 at home in the Temvik, ND area to Jacob and Helen (Keller) Wohl. She was a dedicated member of St. Anthony Parish/Church for most of her adult life. After graduating from Linton HS, she taught country school for many years. She joined her sister on the West coast, working at a parachute factory during WWII. Her memories of experiences there were epic, full of laughter and fun.

She married Anton (Tony) Kelsch on Oct. 17, 1945.  In later years she and Tony worked on road construction and enjoyed traveling together. Tony died December 24, 2011.

She was a devoted wife and mother who loved gardening, crafting, baking, decorating for the holidays and for special occasions.

She is survived by daughters: Cynthia, (Al), Carlotta, (Larry) and Sheen (Richard). She leaves grandchildren: Rick (Rose), Crystal (Joe), Ashley (Lesti), Shana (Jared), and great grandchildren: Nick, Emily, Neila, Anna, Virginia Kelsch, Margaret Viola, Vivian and Leo; and a sister-in-law, Joann Kelsch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her parents; grandchildren: Sean and Larina; she was the last living of her 12 siblings: Clara, Jake, Alma, Leonard, Alice, Lily, Vina, Della, Ruby, Jimmy, Gladys, and a stillborn infant.
