Virginia Mittleider, 74, of Herreid, SD, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, ND.Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Herreid Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Jones officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6-9 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home Chapel, Linton, ND, and will resume one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday, at the church in Herreid.Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Herreid.Virginia Lee Mittleider, the daughter of Archie and Gertrude (Biesheuvel) Ryckman was born June 22nd, 1942 in Linton, ND. She attended country school for eight years and graduated from Pollock High School in 1960. Virginia married Dennis Mittleider on March 4th, 1962 in Pollock, SD. Together they farmed and raised their three children: Rick, Velvet, and Janet. Virginia worked as a clerk at Herried Livestock for thirty years and Peterson's Quick Stop for ten years. She enjoyed singing, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Virginia is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dennis; three children: Rick Mittleider of Herreid, Velvet Langeliers of Pollock, and Janet (John) Johnson of Pollock; four grandchildren: Nikala Langeliers, Kelsey Langeliers, Kami Johnson, and Jeremy Johnson; and two great-grandchildren: Dylan and Kenadee. She is also survived by her seven sisters and one brother: Loretta Westbrook, Evie Backhaus, Polly Becker, Phyllis (Rueben) Schatz, Carol (Lloyd) Schaner, Arlene Cullen, Patty (Arvin) Kilen, and Tom Ryckman; and many nieces and nephews.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Lance Cole Langeliers; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Leah Mittleider; and four brothers-in-law: Lester Westbrook, Donnie Becker, Ronnie Backhaus, and Mike Cullen.
